August 2007 Meeting
The monthly dinner meeting was held at Seawell's Caterers on 16 August. The plans for the Chapter's upcoming events were reviewed and each companion related historical information about themselves.

We had a great meeting with four outstanding JROTC students who attended the YLC held on the USS Yorktown last June.

It was great start to a new year. Everyone survived the holidays. Our guest speaker was Dr Jane Richter, Director of the University of South Carolina's Center for Public Health Preparedness. She spoke on being prepared for a pandemic flu.

March Meeting 2008
The highlight of the meeting was the presentation by Commander Jenkins of information and pictures sent to him by his son 1LT Matt Jenkins, USMC, who is an advisor to the 1st Iraqi Army.
April Meeting 2008
After years of effort there is now a VA National Cemetery in the Columbia area.
Massing of the Colors - April 2008
A crowd watched some 30 JROTC and ROTC units and other military and service organizations participate in the Chapter’s Massing of the Colors ceremony April 27, at the Scottish Rite Temple in Columbia.
